Map Page

You get to the map page via the start page.

At the first start of QVM-I the online map OSM is preset. You also have the possibility to save parts of it for the offline utilization or to choose another online map. (See project manager).

Click on the Markings

Visible waypoints on the map page are displayed with symbol and name if you did not edit the relevant settings in the data base. With a click on the waypoint you get to a menu with the following options:

Info_[Name_of_WPT] Brings you fast to the relevant element in the data base in order to edit it.
Hide Removes the waypoint from the map. To make it visible again you have to display it via the data base.
Navi_Goal Starts quick a navigation to the relevant waypoint, see Navigation.
Shift A blue point appears under the waypoint. You can shift the point to the desired position. If you let go, the blue point disappears.

For visible tracks the following menus are available: Info [Name des TRK] Hide Navi_Goal
For visible routes the following menus are available: Info [Name der RTE] Hide Navi_Goal

Via Info_[Name_of_WPT] or Info_[Name_of_RTE] you can get fast to the relevant data base entry or modify the route by inserting a route point, see The different routing possibilities.

Project Manager

With help of the project manager who is available via the map page, you can determine which elements are visible on the map.

Main Map

Under MAIN MAPS you can determine the online map used.

One click on Info takes you fast to the info page of the relevant map in the data base.

With one click on Fill Cache you can download parts of the map for offline utilization. The number of map tiles, which have to be downloaded from the internet, is displayed according to your entries.

You can add more online maps and use them as main maps. Maps can also be displayed as overlay over the main map. Further information regarding this topic is available in chapter data base.

Markings

With a click on the name of the list, the associated list opens, that the single elements are visible. One more click closes the list.

A click on an icon behind the element has the following functions:

Marks data to display, copy or delete them.
Displays or hides the relevant object on a map (Checkmark existing or not).
Removes the relevant object from the map, but not from the data base.

If you click longer on a single element, you get fast to this element in the data base, where you can edit it easily.
